The operator uses the small-business exemption (Kleinunternehmer) under § 19 UStG and has no VAT identification number. PaperCurrent is currently free, so no VAT is charged.
Payments
PaperCurrent is free during the closed beta. We don't process payments, and your agreement is with the operator named above. When paid plans launch, subscriptions will be sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as Merchant of Record, which will then be the contracting seller, charge and remit VAT, and issue invoices. PaperCurrent will never receive or store card details.

We are responsible for our own content on these pages under general law. We make no guarantee that the content is complete or current, and we are not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information.
PaperCurrent helps you decide what to read. Its scores can be wrong and its searches may miss relevant papers. Read the original publications before drawing scientific conclusions.

PaperCurrent shows links to DOIs, journal pages and preprint servers. The operators of those sites are responsible for their content, which we do not control.
Consumer dispute resolution
The EU’s online dispute resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025. We are not obliged, and not willing, to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
